12th grade Environmental Science students presented projects to a panel of conservation experts last week at the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. The premise of their projects is that they are provisional hires at a local EGLE office. The students were tasked with learning about the region and current strategic plan and funding climate associated with Michigan wildlife by creating a white paper on the Wildlife Action Plan. The judges then decided how an imaginary $25k would be awarded to students toward their conservation project. Great job & many thanks to our stellar science teacher, Trisha, and our seniors! | ![]() |
